Our Team

Dr. Linh Yee-Young was originally born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up in the north Houston area. She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. Dr. Young received her Doctor of Optometry degree with Beta Sigma Kappa honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2001. She is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. As part of her clinical training, Dr. Young completed externships at Eye Center of Texas in Houston and Dishler Laser Institute in Colorado. At these externships, she was extensively trained in ocular disease management such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

She also managed the pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing cataract and LASIK surgery. Through the clinical experience obtained at the University of Houston Eye Institute and her externship rotations, Dr. Young has built a strong foundation for providing both primary and medical eye care utilizing the latest in innovative technology.

Prior to opening TSO Woodlands in 2008, Dr. Young practiced in southeast Houston for 5 years as a partner in a private practice. Dr. Young is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Harris County Optometric Society, and the South Montgomery Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Young is married to her husband, Ryan, whom many patients may recognize as a very familiar face at TSO Woodlands. They are residents of the Woodlands and have a 13 year old daughter named Brooklyn, a 9 year old daughter named Ella, and a 6 year old daughter named London. In her spare time, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with her family, home improvement projects and traveling. She appreciates new cultural experiences when traveling and her two favorite travel destinations, thus far, have been Italy and Bora Bora.
